OBESITY SURGERY SOCIETY OF INDIA |
Severe Obesity is associated with many problems from medical, physical, social
to psychological. Many a times it's hards to loose weight with diet, exercise.
The obesity surgery introduced in the 1950s, has been refined and improved, and
is now recognized by the NIH as the treatment of choice for safe, successful,
long-term weight loss for the severely obese. Since 2002 , the obesity Surgery
society of India is helping to create awareness amongst the surgeons & medical
specialist. It help bring the benefits to the patients.

MISSION | |
The Purpose of the Society is to advance the art and science of bariatric surgery
by continued encouragement of it members to:
- Promote
guidelines for integrated development and management of obesity
- Encourage
multispeciality treatment of obesity
- Pursue
educational programs and meetings to further knowledge on bariatric surgery
- Expand
awareness of morbidity in obesity and treatment options available to general public.
