Management of Obesity in our country has evolved beyond its infancy and we are improving with every stride. To keep pace with the rapid developments in this field and achieve excellence we need to constantly change and improve in order to deliver the very best to our patients. 


With the census of India having being completed, 9% population is obese and around 20% have higher BMI, this is only a tip of iceberg as this ratio is growing day by day. Obesity has surpassed starvation! More people are dying due to obesity than starvation. About 2.2 crore people had died in India due to obesity and it has reached to 1.2 billion worldwide.


We should now join hands to face this pandemic and focus on creating awareness of the ill effects of Obesity, its treatment by Bariatric Surgery, newer technologies to treat obesity & sharing knowledge.

This website is part of the mission as this will provide a platform to create awareness about obesity & surgeries, various kind of questions that people have in mind, information to guide patients.
